Expert Parenting Advice

Expert parenting advice is something we all seek from time to time.  Believe me, I have sought it often enough that I am creating this entire website just for people like you - the information seekers who want to do the best that they possibly can for their children.  The beauty of YOU being here is that I have already done a lot of the leg work for you and have a couple highly recommended sources for expert parenting advice that I can’t wait to share with you.  So let’s get right to it!

First and foremost on my list of terrific expert parenting advice is Dr. Noel Swanson.    Dr. Swanson is a child psychiatrist, and I found him quite a while ago and signed up for his free newsletter.  Personally, I am usually a skeptic, especially when it is so easy to slap a website up and offer “information” out to people as expert advice.  So I did the prudent thing, which I advise you to do as well since I don’t want to see you throw money away.  Sign up for the free newsletters from Dr. Swanson.  He has a fabulous eBook too, called How to Get Your Children to Do as They are Told Without Any Screaming or Shouting.  The eBook is GOLDEN, I have it, and because of copyright infringement, I can’t really tell you what is in there, but I can tell you this - it WORKS.  It works WELL.  But if you go to the link below this, you can sign up for the newsletters and see what you think of his advice using your OWN judgment without buying anything at all.  So check it out.

Next on my list of expert parenting advice is good old Dr. and Martha Sears.  Actually, it is Dr. Bill, Dr. Bob, Dr. James and Nurse Martha now, as their sons have joined in with them in a family practice!  If you need some great advice on just about any subject, from newborn to teenager,  be sure to check out their website http://www.askdrsears.com/default.asp

I also have their book, which is a fantastic reference guide for any parent, especially those looking for expert parenting advice for attachment parents.  If you want to check out their book, you can get it at Amazon:

My next recommendation, as you can probably guess from the book link above, is none other than Dr. Phil McGraw.  I have found, by watching Dr. Phil’s show and reading his book as well as his website articles. Some absolutely invaluable parenting advice, from newborns through to teenagers.  Dr. Phil is probably the most down to earth expert on parenting that I have ever heard.  I’m sure you have watched Dr. Phil - and truthfully, the only thing I have ever disagreed with him about is the fact that he does not agree with the practice of co-sleeping.  Otherwise, I think he is brilliant.  Check out Dr. Phil’s website at www.drphil.com, or check out his Family First book above.
