Christian Parenting Magazine

The world of parenting is both delightful and frightening at the same time. For many parents, help and advice on parenting may be a bit difficult to get (or, if you are living life on the other end of the scale, WAY TOO ABUNDANT for your tastes!). However, the resourceful parent soon uncovers the best places (like this website) to find practical help and advice. Great advice can come from anyone - your own parents, professionals, magazines or parenting advice books.

Some parents may be looking for a specific genre of advice, though, such as Christian Advice on parenting. There are actually quite a few resources for the Christian parent out there. Let me go over just a few….

Christianity Today has a great weekly newsletter for Christian parents. Their newsletter is absolutely free, and full of helpful, up to date advice for today’s Christian Parents.

Christian Mommies is another great online resource for parents. This site really has a plethora of information, from pregnancy to childbirth, on up through adolescence, they even have sections for home-schooling children, special needs children and of course, a whole host of disciplinary advice.

Another site you may be interested in checking out is the Families Online Magazine. This magazine has specific sections geared toward how to raise a Spiritual American by Sylvia Cochran that many parents may find helpful in their search for knowledge.

If you are looking for Christian Parenting Advice I also recommend you turn to your local pastor or church. Pastors, priests and clergy may have some insightful advice they can give you on rearing your youngsters, and keep in mind, if you don’t like what you hear, you don’t have to do it.

Remember, though, that these magazines and articles are written by ordinary (imperfect!) people like yourself. When you just can’t seem to find an answer to a parenting problem or you feel that your child is turning away from you and your faith, then you should seek alternative methods of help. Remember that being a parent is never a route that is mapped out clearly before you begin your journey!
